The innovation portfolio is designed to deliver the new products as well as cost-optimized existing ones. As Borouge products are organized according to 5 different market centres, representing the different application areas and customers, they represent an important component dimension. A second category is ‘application development, cost optimization or product innovation’, representing different types of innovation projects. A third category is the project phase, which progressively describes the maturity and development stage of each project and therefore the overall innovation portfolio. The latter is important on the portfolio level to ensure a sustainable pipeline, with more projects in the earlier phases being reduced in numbers as progressing towards launch stage.
